Tortellini Sausage Alfredo

Bulk Italian sausage, chopped red pepper and fresh mushrooms flavours this creamy meat sauce for the tortellini.

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil
  2. Add the tortellini
  3. Cook according to package directions until pasta is tender
  4. Meanwhile in a large skillet, add the oil
  5. Cook sausage, onion, red pepper and mushrooms over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain
  6. Add in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg
  7. Stir in flour until blended
  8. Gradually add the milk
  9. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened
  10. Drain tortellini and add to sausage mixture
  11. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Worcestershire sauce
