Rum Balls Recipe

Easy no-bake rum balls made with vanilla wafers, raisins, rum, and rolled in powdered sugar. A classic Christmas treat that keeps well in the fridge. Get the recipe.

A classic no-bake treat — boozy, sweet, and dusted in powdered sugar. Perfect for the holidays and they keep well in the fridge for snacking all week.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 2 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Process vanilla wafers in a food processor until fine crumbs.
  2. Combine crumbs, raisins, 1 cup of the powdered sugar, corn syrup, and rum in a bowl. Mix well.
  3. Shape into small firm balls about 3/4 inch round.
  4. Sift remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar onto wax paper.
  5. Roll each ball in the powdered sugar to coat.
  6. Store in the refrigerator until needed.

Notes

These keep well refrigerated for up to 2 weeks — the flavour improves after a day or two.
