Classic Bread Pudding

Old fashioned bread pudding using raisin bread and dried cranberries

A delicious old-fashioned dessert that’s perfect for using up stale bread. This version uses raisin bread and dried cranberries for extra flavor.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt
  2. Place bread cubes in a greased 8x8” pan
  3. Sprinkle with cranberries over top
  4. Pour egg mixture over top
  5. Bake in a preheated 325°F oven for about 40-45 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean
  6. Cool slightly
  7. Serve with whipped cream on top and sprinkle with cinnamon

Variation

Use plain white bread and add 1/3-cup raisins
