LRA: Snack Recipe - Cheese Fondue

The classic cheese fondue using Emmenthaler and gruyere cheese

The classic cheese fondue using Emmenthaler and gruyere cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup Reisling wine
  • 4 ounces grated Emmenthaler cheese
  • 4 ounces grated Gruyere cheese
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 grates of fresh nutmeg
  • Pinch salt and pepper
  • Dash kirsch liqueur (distilled cherry liqueur)
  • Loaf French bread

Instructions

  1. Rub fondue pot with garlic clove
  2. Add wine and bring just to a boil
  3. Combine both cheeses and flour and stir into boiling wine until smooth
  4. Lower heat and season with salt, pepper, and kirsch
  5. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes, warm in oven, and serve with fondue
